Gluten Free & Dairy Free

This amazingly moist, small chocolate cake is both gluten free and dairy free but your would never know. It's made in a single bowl and a 6-inch cake pan.
Combine the sugar, gluten free flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt and espresso powder in a large bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Add the egg, milk, oil and vanilla and beat with a mixer for 2 minutes.
Slowly pour the hot water into the batter and mix for a minute more until it's all combined.
Pour the cake batter into your prepared pan and bake.
To make frosting, combine all ingredients and beat on low speed, moving to high speed. Then, add hot water and beat until fluffy.
Spread over the cooled cake in an even layer.
