Dutch Apple Pie

Being gluten free and dairy free is no reason to miss out on a delicious apple pie for dessert! This apple crumble pie is so simple to make! It’s loaded with fresh apples and perfectly spiced. It’s so good, your friends will be asking for the recipe!

For the topping – Gluten Free Oats – Gluten Free 1-to-1 Flour – Light Brown Sugar – Cinnamon – Salt – Vegan Butter – Pecans For the filling – Apples mixed varieties – Lemon Juice – Light Brown Sugar – Gluten Free 1-to-1 Flour – Cinnamon – Cardamom – Allspice – Nutmeg – Salt – Vanilla

Simple Ingredients 

1. For the filling: Start by cutting and coring your apples. 2. Slice the apples to about ¼” thickness. Place in a large bowl. 3. Add the lemon juice and stir to coat the apples.

4. Then add the light brown sugar, gluten free 1:1 flour blend, salt, spices and vanilla. 5. Stir well until the apples are coated. To Assemble: Add the filling to a frozen pie crust.

Sprinkle the top with streusel topping. Brush the crust edges with egg wash. Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 60 minutes in a 400 degree oven. Allow pie to cool before slicing and enjoy!
